James A. McKinnell, M.D.
Head of Medical Affairs

James A. McKinnell, M.D. completed medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. McKinnell is clinically active as an Infectious Disease specialist in private practice. Dr. McKinnell has conducted federally funded (NIH, NIAID, CDC, AHRQ) and pharmaceutical funded research for over 10 years. Dr. McKinnell has participated in many clinical trials and has over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including first author publications in the New England Journal of Medicine and Clinical Infectious Disease.

Dr. McKinnell serves as the head of medical affairs for Lightship. Investigators with Lightship are expected to bring top-level medical care to their patients and to provide the meaningful data to advance medical science. Dr. McKinnell will work with you to understand the Lightship model, to set expectations, and will continue to provide support to Investigators during individual clinical trials.

Kanisha Parthasarathy
Medical Project Manager

Kanisha Parthasarathy is on the Clinical & Experience team at Lightship. She’s currently getting her MBA from Harvard Business School and is based in Boston. Prior to school, she was at Trellis Rx working on new client partnerships and analytics, and at Bain & Company working as a management consultant.
